DIY Pumpkin Pie Spice

Nothing says Fall like the arrival of all things pumpkin from coffee and creamers to muffins, pies, donuts, and just about any dessert you can think of…savory recipes too like soups, sauces, sides, and main dishes. Here’s a quickie little recipe to dive into the pumpkin season. Store bought pumpkin pie spice can be pretty pricy; why not make it yourself with spices you probably have on hand?

Ingredients
  • 2 TB Cinnamon
  • 2 tsp Nutmeg
  • 2 tsp Ginger
  • 1 tsp Allspice
  • 1 tsp Clove
Instructions
  1. Whisk spices together

My Friend Maria’s Keto Café Mocha

Here’s a variation of the BulletProof Coffee that is a standard morning fixture for so many keto-ers. My friend Maria recently started keto and we share some of our concoctions; she is not vegan so I adapted her recipe to be dairy free. Try it, you’ll love it!

Here’s what you’ll need…ok, you don’t need a mug with an “S”  but I do love mine (Thanks Ema!)

Warm chocolatey coffee goodness that will keep you full for hours, and no sugar spikes to drag you down if it's your mid-day treat.

Ingredients
  • 1c brewed coffee
  • 1 tablespoon Brain Octane Oil
  • 4 tablespoons non-dairy creamer of choice
  • 1 heaping teaspoon cocoa powder
  • cinnamon - a dash (or more to taste)
  • stevia or other sweetener of choice (i like 2 of those teeny spoons)
Instructions
  1. Combine all ingredients in a large enough mug so there won't be overflow
  2. Give it a spin with the coffee frother and you are good to go!
